Jenni Katzman most recently served as Senior Policy Advisor in the Office of the Deputy Secretary at the US Department of Education. Jenni previously worked as a Senior Policy Advisor at the White House's Domestic Policy Council where her portfolio included criminal justice and civil rights issues. Previously she served as Senior Counsel for the Office of Access to Justice at the US Department of Justice where she worked on indigent defense-related matters and reentry issues. Prior to joining the Justice Department, she was the National Voter Protection Counsel for Obama for America, where she oversaw all voting rights litigation. Previously, Jenni was a litigation associate at the law firms of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and Steptoe & Johnson LLP. Jenni also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Brian M. Cogan of the Eastern District of New York. She received her J.D. from Cornell Law School and her B.A. from Duke University.
